Hello welcome to my Mirror Tut..I'm assuming your PSP knowledge is beyond "HUHH WHAT THE HECK IS THAT??? :) So let's get started. I've included a zipped file of TUBES that you can use.. or you can use your own. Also is a link for the filters we'll be using.
*Simple filter*
*Super BladePro*
*Tubes*
Start with a new 350 x 350 image, transparent. You can resize later if you want. Add a layer..name it Lady. Load up your tube that I supplied with this tut.
Duplicate the Lady layer...On the duplicated lady layer *top* resize to 85%.
Now you have two lady layers...
one slightly smaller than the other.. make sure the smallest one is on the top.. X the smaller lady layer out . Were going to work on the original Lady layer. Make sure its highlighted on your layers palette.
Next go to Effects, textures, Mosaic-antique... set to these settings.

Were still working on the original lady layer. Go to effects..plugin list.. find your SIMPLE filter on it.. click the Horizontal grain.
Your image should look like this.
Now unX your top lady layer
you should have 3 layers... the 1st bottom layer *transparent* the original lady layer and the duplication of the original.
On the first bottom layer fill with white or any color that looks good to you.. I used white here.
ADD a new transparent layer on top of all the other layers. Name it mirror frame.. Were going to make the oval frame for the mirror on this one.. EACH thing we add is on its OWN layer..
Click on your Selection Tool..choose the Ellipse shape, feather 0 , antialias unchecked.
At this point you can X out the women layers.. just work on the background layer. That way it wont be so confusing. Put the selection tool cross hairs in the center of the window, pull out, click and draw the oval..keeping in mind its a mirror :)
Hold your Ctrl button down and do the same drawing another oval inside the first oval as shown.

FILL the frame with white.. If you have Super Blade Pro then apply a gold effect on the frame. If you don't have SBP then you can use PSP's Effects, Texture, Sculpture, and apply the gold preset.
Go to Effects and apply a dropshadow on the frame using these settings. Diselect the mirror.
Okie dokie.. so you should have this..
Duplicate the 'copy' of the top lady layer and go to Image and mirror it.
Add new layer.. name it flowers. Add what ever vase of flowers tube you want.. position it and drag that layer down below the lady layer.. so that the flowers are BEHIND her. ADD a drop shadow to it.
Duplicate the flower layer now and go to Image and click Mirror.. position them in the mirror.. Remembering this is her and the flowers reflection.
This is what yours should look like.
Now X out all layers but the mirror frame, the womans reflection and the flowers.
You notice that you part of the woman and flowers are hanging out of the bottom of the mirror frame.. You can use your erasor tool to erase the excess.
When your erasing, MAKE SURE you've highlighted the correct layer or you'll erase the wrong one !! Thank Goodness for the UNDO button.. :)
You may or may not like to put another layer behind the reflections in WHITE. Can be done if you'd like.
NOW go to Selections, merge, merge visible ...ONLY the mirror layers, the others are X'd out.
With the now new merged mirror layer highlighted, click on the deformation tool.
Push in the merged mirror a lil bit, as to deform the images not much though.
Un X the other layers it might help with the 'eyeballing' of this procedure
Always Always when you deform or resize something it blurs the image, so go up to Effects and SHARPEN the merged mirror layer. Merge all flatten layers..You can now crop or resize your image if you want.*remember to SHARPEN*
You can add your borders now.. any kind.. I chose to use Super Blade Pro like I did with my frame.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did making it. Till next time. :) Norma
