This is a simple way to make a different kind of shadow effect. Start with a new image 400 x 400, with a white background. You can resize it later. Open the tube of your choice, and copy and paste on NEW Layer onto your white bkg layer. Dont forget to name your layers on your layer palette. BKG and TUBE With your TUBE layer highlighted on your layer palette...Go to SELECTIONS/SELECT ALL Then SELECTIONS/FLOAT Your tube layer should have the 'floating' ants. Now go to SELECTIONS/MODIFY/ EXPAND Using these settings Go to SELECTIONS again and click MODIFY/FEATHER Use these settings below Highlight your BACKGROUND layer and ADD a new RASTER layer. it will be 'sandwiched' between your background layer and the tube layer. Name it Shadow layer Fill with a gradient of your choice..choosing the colors that best go with the colors in your tube. Select None There ya go.. WHAAALAAAA!!! Your done.
