I racked my brain over this one.. lol. Was determined I was gonna figure out how to make my own preset shapes in PSP 8.
Here is what I come up with. First off, you need to install the DING fonts
that I included in a zip for you. Or if you choose to open one, minimize it on bottom of screen, it will show up in your fonts on your TEXT tool that way also.
*Shape Fonts*
Open a new image 350 x 350 transparent.
Click on your Text Tool Choose one of the Ding
fonts ,set to 72 size, can make it bigger here in a min. Also in the create box, make sure your font is set to VECTOR. Set it to what
ever color fill you want. Skies the limit here. You can use gradients
or solid fill.
Find which one you want by the trying the letter keys on your keyboard.

When you've chosen one, in the text box, click ok. You will see it on your graphic window. Grab one of the corner squares and drag it out to almost as big as the graphic.

On your layer palette, click on the + to open up the VECTOR layer. Right click on the 'A' + a letter layer, click on Convert Text to Curves/Single Shape.

Right click on the same layer again and RENAME.

All that's left to do is go to FILE/EXPORT/SHAPE...

NAME your new SHAPE

Make sure in FILE/PREFERENCES/FILE LOCATIONS/ PRESET SHAPES .. you have the PSP 8 preset shapes folder checked.

You will now see your new shape in your SHAPES tool box :).....Now that
wasn't hard *S*
