HI there, this is a very basic tutorial on how to make a very simple tag.
So take your shoes off, get comfy and put your think'n caps on.
HeHe..Where did I put mine????

Get the TUBE HERE I used...

#1 Go to file, click NEW New Image 400 x 400, Transparent , click OK.

#2 Toggle your layer palette so that it stays open,*lock window open* button up at the top right , next to the X.
#3 Use your flood fill tool and fill layer one with a solid color of your choice, I used white here in this sample. Name the layer BKG ~for background~ Your desktop should look like this.

#4 On your layer palette click the button for CREATE a LAYER.



On this layer were going to add a tube.
#5 click your Picture TUBE tool and choose what tube you would like to use.. Here I use a fairy's behind. lol Click one time on your graphic picture. as shown in the sample



Name this layer Fairy.
If you would like, add a shadow on your tube. Go to EFFECTS down to 3D EFFECTS and click on DROP SHADOW. Here are the settings I used.





#6 Now click your MOVE tool and you can move the fairy any where on your picture.
Remember, to put everything on its OWN layer, it's much easier to move things where you want them and also delete just one item at a time if you don't like how it looks.
*WOOHOO, its a good time to SAVE your graphic, so you wont loose what you've already done.*

#7 On the next layer we are going to put a name. So go to the button on the LAYOR Palette and CREATE a layer. *If you don't remember where, refer back to step 4.* Right click on that layer and rename it to NAME.


Make sure the NAME layer is the layer thats highlighted in you layer palette, if you don't, you might put the text on the wrong layer.
Whatever layer is HIGHLIGHTED on the layer palette is the one that is EFFECTED by whatever your doing.
Now click the TEXT tool button and click any where on your graphic, your text box will pop up. Choose the text you want and also pick the colors you want the name to be. Your Text box should look like this one. Then click OK.



#8 As you see the Name on your graphic has the 'marching ants' around it.. letting you know that its selected. Now is when you add a BEVEL if you want.. and also a DROP SHADOW.You will find them in EFFECTS. Then go to SELECTIONS, then SELECT NONE.





#9 If you notice the fairy is 'behind' the name what you need to do now is drag your NAME layer BELOW the FAIRY layer. Now position the fairy where you would like her.



#9 Use your Selection tool to select around the pic to crop it down to smaller size.



Here is the Finished Fairy Tag.



#10 Lastly go to LAYERS and down to MERGE.. MERGE ALL (flattened) Save your new TAG in jpg format.
