Hi there, this is my first attempt at a tutorial, so please bear with me. Hope that its not Greek to you *S*

This tutorial was made with PSP 7.04 also uses EyeCandy 4000

I've included a zipped file that has the assorted tubes you will need for this tutorial.

Create a new image 500 x 200 pixels, with a transparent background. You can fill it with any color or texture later on. Also you can adjust your canvas size, depending on the length of your name.

On your layers palette add a raster layer naming it 'NAME' You can use any full bodied font. I used Vagabond for this example . Set the size large. In the styles box, set the fill and the stroke to the same color, using #E3E2F0
Position the name in the center of the image, while the marching ants are still march'n.. hup to hup to.. Next click on your selections tool and invert.. Then to the effects..3D effects.. Drop shadow using these settings...click select none

Now on your layers palette duplicate your 'NAME' layer 3 times so you have a total of 4 'NAME' layers Make a new raster layer name it 'PLANT 1' Hide all other layers but your first 'NAME' layer and 'PLANT 1". Highlight the 'NAME' layer..Selections..select all.. float There should be marching ants around the name..on the layers palette highlight the 'PLANT 1'layer. I'm assuming you have already exported the tubes that were in the zipped file and saved in your tube file in PSP directory.

You now position the tubes where you would like. Scaled to size 40. This is up to you how many plants you'd like. Be sure to REMEMBER to put each different plant on his own layer. Example: The next plant would be on a layer named 'PLANT 2'
Ok now select none.

Next duplicate each of the plant layers 3 times so you have a total of 4 layers each. Later these layers become FRAMES when we go to animate this.

Hide all the duplicated layers . Just have the original layers showing...NAME,PLANT 1,PLANT 2 and now the first 'FISH 1' layer Go to your tube tool and find the fish tube. Here you have to decide what fish you would like to use.. you have to scale the size down, depending on the size of the name. REMEMBER each fish goes on it own LAYER. Duplicate each fish layer 3 times..making 4 layers of EACH fish layer. REMEMBER to HIDE all the duplicated layers. We work on the original layers FIRST. Position the fish where you want, using the MOVE tool. Do each of the fish layers. REMEMBER that the fish will be 'swimming from right to left when its animated, so put the fish on the right. Now highlight the original 'NAME' layer.. selections.. select all.. float...Selections INVERT.. .. then click on the first fish layer .. CUT.. NEXT fish layer.. CUT..until all your fish are with in the name. Do this to all fish layers .. now its time to merge.

Be sure and have layer 1, thats the bottom transparent layer X'd out or hidden, this layer we will fill with a color or texture later on The only layers that are not X'd out now are the original NAME,PLANT 1,PLANT 2, FISH 1, FISH 2 and FISH 3. On your layers palette box make sure the top FISH 3 is highlighted and right click.. merge visible layers.. Drag it down to bottom, right above layer 1 rename to frame 1. This process is repeated with each of the remaining 3 layers of each subject.. NAME, PLANT and FISH etc, Unhidding just those layers that your working on. As you work on each of these layers REMEMBER to move the fish over to the left.. as it is 'swimming' You can also adjust the plants a little bit, not much..so as to look like their swaying under the water. Remember if some of the plant is outside the marching ants..CUT.. so as to trim it off, the first NAME layer should still be selected and have the marching ants around it.*go to Selections/ INVERT then do your CUTS* You should have frame 1-4 and your layer one..if every thing went right..And don't worry..can always use your UNDO key..And THANK Goodness for it *S*

Were going to add the bubbles now.. click on your TUBES tool find the bubble tube that you added earlier. You can adjust the bubbles to different sizes.. its up to you.

Add bubbles on each of the 4 layers in different spots.Um and bubbles go UP *S*, so put them on each later a little higher up.

Its time to fill that bottom layer with whatever pattern or color you want. duplicate it 3 times so you'll have 4 for each of the frames

Go to your Frame 1 and select.. float.. effects.. EyeCandy 4000,GLASS. Use these settings select none.. go to each of the 3 frames thats left.. select all.. float.. use the eyecandy glass effect.

Now apply a drop shadow to each of the name frames using these settings.

Merge visible each background layer with each of the frames. REMEMBER to hide the layers thats not being merged Original back ground layer and frame one.. so on and so on.. till all are merged visible..Drag each one down in order to the bottom. Now you should have 4 layers or (frames) Save in PSP format.

Open in PSP animation shop. After you've opened the PSP file in animation shop, you'll notice that all the merged layers are FRAMES now.. go to EDIT and select ALL.. then right click on any of the frames and click on animation properties, change the frame speed to 30.. click ok.. save as Gif....
Well thats it.....Hope your not like confused beyond belief *S* Hopefully I learned something doing this and will get better. Maybe you learned something too!!!
